As a rule, we do not disclose your personal information to outside parties. However, information may be disclosed to the extent necessary in the following cases:

  • You have given prior consent
  • Specific legal provisions apply, or a request is made through lawful procedures
  • Advertising services such as Google AdSense are active and process cookies and online identifiers to deliver and measure ads and prevent misuse

When Google AdSense ads appear on the Site, Google and Google-certified third-party vendors may process information to deliver and measure advertising. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google’s advertising technologies information for details.

5. Outsourced Processing and External Services

The Site may use hosting, security, spam prevention, email, and advertising services in its operations. External service providers may process information to the extent necessary to provide their services.

When Google AdSense is active, Google may process cookies and related information to display ads, personalize advertising, measure ads, and prevent misuse. We will update this policy if there are significant changes to the external services actually used or the processing they perform.

6. Google AdSense and Advertising Cookies

The Site may use Google AdSense advertising to cover operating costs and support content provision.

  • Google and third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to websites.
  • Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to the Site or other websites on the Internet.
  • Cookies from third-party advertising vendors or networks other than Google may be used to serve ads.
  • Advertising cookies and online identifiers may be used for ad delivery, personalization, frequency capping, performance measurement, and misuse prevention.

You can manage or disable Google’s personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. In supported regions, consumer choice tools such as YourAdChoices let you manage personalized advertising cookies from participating companies.

Even if you disable personalized advertising, non-personalized ads may appear based on factors such as context, approximate location, and browser type.

7. Use and Rejection of Cookies

Cookies are small information files that websites store in your browser. The Site may use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Providing site features and user preferences
  • Maintaining security and preventing misuse
  • Reviewing visit and usage statistics
  • Delivering, personalizing, and measuring advertising

You can allow or block cookie storage and delete existing cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may prevent comments, preferences, and some features from working properly.

For instructions on managing cookies, see your browser’s help documentation.

8. Consent Management for Users in Europe

When serving Google ads to users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the Site may disclose necessary information and request consent in accordance with applicable laws and Google’s EU User Consent Policy.

Before actually activating Google AdSense, a consent management platform (CMP) that meets Google’s requirements must be configured, clearly providing the following choices:

  • Consent
  • Reject
  • Manage options
  • View the Privacy Policy

The consent interface and the behavior of the actual advertising tags will be verified separately before AdSense is activated.

9. Possible Processing of Personal Information Abroad

External service providers such as Google may process information on servers outside the Republic of Korea. The countries, types of information, purposes, retention periods, and transfer methods involved may vary with the services and contracts actually used.

After finalizing the actual configuration of AdSense and related services, the Site will identify any additional disclosures required by applicable laws and incorporate them into this policy.

Personal information whose processing purpose has been fulfilled and which no longer needs to be retained is destroyed as follows:

  • Electronic files: deleted using methods that make recovery or restoration difficult
  • Paper documents: destroyed using methods such as shredding or incineration that make recovery difficult

Information processed by external service providers may be handled according to their retention and deletion policies.

You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information, or withdraw your consent.

Requests can be submitted by email to the privacy contact. Where necessary, we will verify your identity and process the request in accordance with applicable laws.
